Buchanan Park Welsh Black Stud Farm was established in November 2000, by Allan & Jill Furborough in Tynong, Victoria, Australia.
Our very first show was Melbourne Royal Show 2002; successful with two firsts and
Junior Reserve Champion Bull, won by Buchanan Park Douglass.
The 2003 Royal Melbourne Show was very successful for the stud, showing four animals. Winning Junior & Reserve Champion Female, Senior and Grand Champion Female, Senior and Grand Champion Bull and Supreme Welsh Black Exhibit, with Junior Heifer 12 months old Buchanan Park Elspbeth Lass. The stud also won Sires Progeny, Best Three Head and Most Successful Welsh Black Exhibitor.
The 2004 Royal Melbourne Show was another very successful show for the stud, winning Senior Champion, Reserve Champion Female, Grand Champion Female, Junior Champion Bull, Reserve Champion Bull, Sires Progeny, Best Three Head, Pair of Bulls and Most Successful Welsh Black Exhibitor.
Buchanan Park was once again very successful at the Welsh Black Feature Show held at Wonthaggi in January, 2005. Winning Supreme Welsh Black Exhibit with the three year old bull Buchanan Park Douglass. The stud also won Junior Champion Female, Reserve Senior Champion Female, Junior Champion Bull, Senior and Grand Champion Bull.
Buchanan Park has won numerous Interbreed championship ribbons at other local agricultural shows.
We take great pride in our small stud and proudly present quality cattle.
The stud is now MN1 in JD Map Program.
